Daily Business Review: Hollywood-Based Eisinger Brown Acquires Gainesville Firm

Eisinger, Brown, Lewis, Frankel & Chaiet announced its acquisition of Gainesville firm McCarty, Naim, Focks & Keeter.

Eisinger, Brown, Lewis, Frankel & Chaiet has acquired Gainesville firm McCarty, Naim, Focks & Keeter. Name partners Mac McCarty and Julie Naim will join Eisinger Brown as of counsel, and Peter Focks has joined as a partner, the firm announced.

Dennis Eisinger, founding partner of Eisinger Brown, said the opportunity stems from McCarty and Naim’s decision to wind down their practices. Both firms have carved out niche practices representing community associations such as homeowner and condo associations. Eisinger Brown represents 600 associations while McCarty Naim represents approximately 125.

“We’re making a genuine commitment to Gainesville,” said Eisinger, a “triple gator” and associate professor of law at the University of Florida. “McCarty is a longtime friend, and when they realized they were going to be minus their two main principals we made arrangements.”
Focks will manage the new Gainesville office and the existing McCarty Naim staff that will stay on with the new firm.

And for the two of counsel principals, Eisinger Brown has work for them if they come back to active practice.

“I would love it if McCarty and Naim decide to start practicing again,” Eisinger said.

Eisinger Brown is a 10-attorney firm with four Florida offices in Boca Raton, Fort Myers, Gainesville and Hollywood. Besides representing community associations, the firm also handles commercial litigation, insurance law and corporate law.
