Omar J. Perez is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department. He is a civil litigator with eight years of experience in Florida state and federal courts, and he handles cases from inception through trial, arbitration, and post-judgment enforcement. He has extensive experience in construction, real estate, community association, and commercial disputes, as well as ad valorem property tax assessment disputes and land use matters, including 40-year building recertifications, code violations, and variance applications.
Before joining Eisinger Law, Omar practiced at a Miami construction law firm, where he regularly represented owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in construction transactions and disputes, including defect, lien, and payment bond claims, on major South Florida projects.
His broader litigation experience includes first-party property and insurance claims, Fair Labor Standards Act claims, mortgage foreclosure defense, and corporate disputes. He has also defended automobile, trucking, and personal injury claims and handled post-judgment collection, including garnishment and proceedings supplementary.
Omar earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. There he served as Managing Editor of the Nova Law Review and received a Dean’s Scholarship. He is a member of The Florida Bar and is conversational in Spanish. Outside the office, Omar is a lifelong South Florida sports fan who enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, Luke.
