That is why the Florida Bar’s latest announcement marks a historic moment for our industry: Florida has officially reached the milestone of 200 board-certified attorneys in Condominium and Planned Development Law.
Achieving board certification is the highest evaluation of an attorney’s competence and experience by the Florida Bar, identifying them as an established expert in their field. Reaching the 200-expert mark makes Condominium and Planned Development Law the tenth-largest area of specialization in the state and by far the fastest-growing.

- The Educational Engine: For several years, Partner/Shareholder Alessandra Stivelman has served as the Chair (and previously Co-Chair) of the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) Condominium and Planned Development Law Certification Review Committee. In this role, and as a RPPTL Executive Council Member, Alessandra (along with her vice co-chairs) is tasked with planning and coordinating the rigorous two-day Advanced Condo and Planned Development Continuing Review Course intended to assist those who are preparing for the exam or those attorneys practicing in the subject area desiring a comprehensive advanced level continuing legal education course. This past January 2026, both Alessandra and Senior Associate Alejandro Alonso served as featured speakers, dedicated to ensuring an advanced level curriculum.
- The Examination Standard: On the other side of the credentialing process, Partner/Shareholder Carolina Sznajderman Sheir serves as an appointed member of the Florida Bar’s Condominium and Planned Development Law Certification Committee. As part of the Condominium and Planned Development Law Certification Committee, Carolina is tasked with reviewing and evaluating certification and recertification applications in accordance with the area standards and recommending approval or denial to the Board of Legal Specialization and Education (BLSE); preparing exam questions in accordance with the test specifications; and reviewing and grading the exams.
