In the article, Alessandra shared insight into how the proposed legislation may provide much-needed relief to condominium communities facing challenges with special assessments and state compliance:
“If [a loan] is for the necessary repair and maintenance of the condominium for safety reasons, then the board is allowed to obtain a loan and pass a special assessment. So in that sense, it could be very helpful to the communities that are struggling to get the necessary approval in order to do the necessary maintenance and comply with the statute.”
